So thats where she disapeared to lol , She came back to the Broch in March or April looked like she was tied up for good. I did see them working on her 2 weeks ago tho.

Yes Davie. She came here last December when first bought from Norway & worked through the winter before returning to Scotland.
I assume she fishes for pilchards like the other half dozen ringers in Cornwall.
I don't know how successful she is but she must have been a big investment for her owner & is much larger than the local ringers.

I think he got her fairly cheap from Norway. She is one of a pretty large class of ring net boats they have over there for catching Herring and Mackerel up in the Fjords.

She was originally called the Froybas and looks to be over 20 years old

Ocean Crest I last saw twin rig prawn trawling out of the Broch don't know what happened to the other one. I haven't seen the Ocean Crest for a while so don't know if she's been sold or not.
