Sir Tristram

Apparently they started filling fuel tanks whilst still welding work going on.

If I remember right, it was late 2004. The way I heard it was for some reason the ships' engineers started loading fuel tanks while the dock workers were under ship welding. It led me to doubt effectiveness of permits to work and ISM.The ship reacted very fast and situation appeared to be quickly under control.

I don't remember this but I do remember the food the Chinese cooks served on these RFA's - scrummy. I was on Galahad, Lancelot and Percival for single journeys practising pontoon boarding with tanks. Loading at Pembroke Dock and disembarking at Southampton.
