Built 1934. William Denny, Dumbarton, for LMS Railway Co. 1343grt, coal fired boilers, steam turbines, twin screw, 16knots. Broken up 1966. Originally accommodation was for 650 cattle+ 14 horses (Plus 10 drovers and 12 dealers). Great shot of her at full speed.

This vessel was Official No 159302 and of 1,369 gt and 499 net owned by British Transport Commision and later British Rail and was built 1935 by Wm Denny & Bros Ltd of Dumbarton and registered at London. Operated between Holyhead and Dublin with cargo and cattle and used Holyhead drydock for refits and done winter reliefs on Heysham and Belfast service whilst SLIEVE BAWN and SLIEVE BEARNAGH were having there refits. Withdrawn 1966 and moored to a buoy in Holyhead outer harbour and sold in 1967 to Van Heyghen Freres of Belgium and towed to Bruges for scrap. Had been aground in the River Liffey in thick fog in January 1953.
