This is the last two weeks of June 1966, Berth 101 in the New Docks, Southampton. GHC was one of the last to arrive and by beginning of July, EC left as first to escape after the strike. I fire watched on all three before sailing on EC. Great shot, thanks Stan, takes me back to that strange summer.

and hence the airlines took over!

That would have happened anyway - the strike just helped it come sooner.
