Southampton Docks

Four cruise ships at Southampton Docks on Saturday 28th June 2008, Oceana, Independence of the Seas, Eurodam and Sea Princess. This photo is almost certainly a one off because Eurodam is unlikely to return even if the other three ships are in at the same time again. Oceana is flying the Blue Peter.

Seems Oceana is at the Ocean Terminal, Independence on Berth 101, and the others on 103 and 105 in the New Docks.

It is 103 and 106, Eurodam amd Sea Princess. 106 is the Mayflower Terminal used by P&O and Princess Cruises.

A great view of the Port of Southampton taken on Saturday 25th July 2009 with the Oceana at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Terminal at berths 38/39 Eastern Docks with the Independence of the Seas at the City Cruise Terminal at berth 101 in the Western Docks with the Eurodam at berth 104, which is the fruit terminal and is used as a back up passenger terminal if the need arises, it is this terminal that will be totally revamped and made into the ports 5th cruise terminal by 2015, and finally at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at berth 106 is the Sea Princess.

Pompeyfan are you a member of the Britanny Ferries Enthusiasts site?

I posted the exact same picture on there quite a while back!

No, I am not a member of the Britanny Ferry Enthusiasts site, I never worked for them. However, a Canberra crew member has taken over from me trying to arrange another Canberra Reunion.

I asked the question about the picture as I downloaded it from my collection onto the Brittany Ferries Enthusiasts website a while back and there is a member on there called Pompeyfan, so I wondered if you were the same person!

You dont have to have worked for Brittany Ferries to be a member of the BFE Brittany Ferries Enthusiasts website, it is a website for those with a aprticular interest in Brittany Ferrys and also covers other local ferry news.

I never worked on Canberra but use her as my username as she was one of my favourite ships, the 97 is for the year she was retired!

I started out at sea with Cunard as I had a long history of seafarers in my family with Cunard so never worked with P&O except for P&O Ferrys Pride of Bilbao during her early years of service on the Portsmouth to Bilbao route.

Odd that another person call themselves Pompeyfan, not odd in itself of course as there are thousands of Pompey Fans, but it is not me in the Brittany site unless of course somebody has uploaded one of my pictures. I have pictures of Britanny ferries here on SN.
