I joined her on the 18th October 1979 at Redcar as a 4th Engineer left her and the merchant navy on the 13th March 1980at Kashima (Japan).

A 10 cylinder Sumitomo built Sulzer oh joy of joys!

Joined the Spey Bridge as Chief Officer in Rotterdam on the 28th of February 1970. Vessel was brand new having sailed from Japan to Persian Gulf and then Rotterdam. At no time was she ever called Silver Denholm as expressed by Andy-D. I also spent 4 months standing by each of the other three vessels, the Avon bridge, Eden Bridge and Silver Bridge at the Sumitomo Uraga dock.
