Two days before Christmas one year,the Ch/Stwd. sacked me before I'd even open my gear or signed on!.Smithy in the Pool reckoned the C/S was trying to get Christmas at home,me,I got a doctors note and had C'mas at home myself.

Did a couple of months in her long before this mishap, they were good ships for bond, and time at home,(that is if you lived in Goole) no good for money tho', time off for overtime etc Jack Collier A true gentleman and scholar was master of her at the time this happened and I "think" he was assesed "some" of the blame
