In my opinion, one of the nicest cargoes to load , clean, lovely whiff and a neat and tidy stow.

yes lovely smell of Oregon pine, but also troublesome when deck stow absorbs sea water and at end of voyage with low bunkers, fresh water, low stability results in a very tender ship.

According to Miramar she was wrecked 18.36S /177.48E 5.10.67 Vancouver-Sydney, timber, pulp & general. Would the picture have been taken on this trip? (Just south of Fiji)
