This looks like an old liberty ship, it was among the old magazines/photos that I bought at a car boot sale.

It says that her original name was "Samuel G French"

A Liberty built by the J. A. Jones Construction Co., Panama City, Florida in 1944 and managed for the WSA by Samuel J. Olson & Co., San Francisco.
To the Netherlands Government in 1947 as the 'Egmont'. She became 'Alcyone' (Dutch Flag, Van Nievelt, Goudriaan Stoomv. Maats.) in the same year.
Owned by Tricontinental Transport Corporation (Goulandris Ltd., London) in 1958, she was renamed 'Nicos S' under the Liberian flag.
To Syros Shipping Co., ( L.M. Valmas & Son, London) in 1963. Greek flag 1966. Broken up in Spain in 1971.
