TEUCER (2) (1890 - 1906) Priam class steel steamship.
O.N. 97797. 2,846g. 1,808n. 336.1 x 38.5 x 26.8 feet.
C.2-cyl. (26½" & 52" x 60") engine (No. 334), made by the (shipbuilder’s) Greenock Foundry Company, Greenock. 1,560 IHP. 11 kts.
8.1889: Ordered from Scott & Company, Greenock (Yard No. 275) for the Ocean Steamship Company.
19.5.1890: Launched.
28.6.1890: Completed at a cost of £48,265.
5.1891: Transferred to the Nederlandse Stoomvaart Maatschappij “Oceaan” N.V., Amsterdam.
1903: Transferred to the Ocean Steamship Company Ltd.
1906: Sold to K. Matsugata, Japan, and renamed CHUSA MARU.
9.8.1907: Whilst on a voyage from Moji to Aomori with a cargo of corn, was wrecked off Toto, Japan.
