The livery on Sealink/ Sealink British Ferries / Wightlink never looked good from this time onwards. The blue needed raising to the mezzanine deck with white lettering. Yet around this time Red Funnel did away with black hulls opting for a much improved red.

This look like Fishbourne in the early days. I found some pictures of her dry docked in Genoa recently after starting her new life in Sardinia.

Abbey, do you have a link to those images? Will be nice to see the old girl again.

Stevo, there is a picture of her on marinetraffic.com at Genoa just after the refit in April 2011. I must learn a bit more about the computer so I can link these photos when I find them !

is it my imagination, she looks better painted as 'Conte' than in her Wightlink days, as 'Catherine'.

great to see the old girl again, she certainly looks better looked after i.e. no orange rust streaks like you see on the rest of the saint class. may she long keep sailing.

Never carried the BR logo as privatisation loomed! St Helen carried this livery for just four months!

On entering service, guy wires were connected to the main mast, but removed at first refit. She also had her Voith blades shortened. She was regularly hitting 14 knots in service, but suffered from excessive vibration, hence the prop alterations.
