Which St Kilda???

If its the island of Scotland i have been there and had a pint in the army base.

We only had 24 hours before we had to get back before a gale came in but it was an interesting but difficult place to visit.

and yes i got the bokk, cap, t-shirt, postcards and mug to prove it.

CED,

Yes there is another, it is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in fact it was only on TV last week, saying that some of the Islanders that went to Australia, accquired land around Melbourne and named it after our St Kilda. There is an Aussie Rules Football Team of the same name.Team Colours are Red,White and Black.

Thanks Jim.

There is no Saint called Kilda. It is thought that the name came as a "typo" on a Dutch map. The name is thought to be Skilda, a norse word.

Here is a link to the National Trust for Scotlands website http://www.kilda.org.uk/
