A nostalgic view of the harbour at Charlotte Amaelie, St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

From left to right Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Song of Norway, Canadian Pacific Lines Empress of Canada, Norwegian Cruise Lines Skyward with Costa Lines Frederico C at anchor.

When this view was taken anywhere between 1970 and 1972 it seems strange to think that the Empress of Canada would later become Carnival Cruises first vessel renamed Mardi Gras and would become a regular caller at St Thomas USVI.

The NCL and RCCL ships would have been more or less brand new at the time this photo was taken.

Thanks Sean, but could it be Skyward instead? The name has 7 letters.

It was an OBVIOUS mistake on my part of course there is NO RVL ship in the picture it should have read RCCL, I have edited my details accordingly.
