Strathclyde

Can anyone advise on how much it would cost to buy or have built a 1 - 2 foot long model of the Arun class "Strathclyde" in Strathclyde Police Livery.

This is for one of her crew and would I suspect be for more for display than operation.

I remember seeing this lifeboat whilst visiting Penlee lifeboat station about 4 years ago, the crewman I spoke to said that the crew did not want to part with her as she was a really good boat.

Forgive me for maybe missing the obvious, but why has she got Police on the side?

she was owned until recently by Strathclyde police, as their waterborn search and rescue division boat, based at Greenoch/ Port Glasgow..

We forgive you Coastie after what you have been through. The answer is because she was bought by Strathclyde Police from the RNLI as a Police Patrol Boat looking after the Clyde and surrounding area, she has now been sold to Andy who is in the process of refitting her for other services.

Glad you are feeling better - must have been bloody awful - I have had broken ribs and know what the pain is like - I sympathise mate and glad its nearly gone.
