Its a American Sub in a floating dock on West Coast of USA. Collision Damage. Catalouging photos for a friend so not sure of name

Ouch, Its OK its a Yank. probably hit the USA. in the wrong place too,.
Sorry if the above comments hit a raw nerve but it was only posted in a light hearted manner and not intended to cause any offence to any one who may have been injured or harmed on the vessel in any way. i apologise wholeheartedly (Hippy)

That sort of damage is scary when you are on something that floats above the water - as for being on a submarine and sustaining that amount of damage.... oh dear, not for me in any way and I have huge respect for submariners who risk their lives in service of their country.

I think this was the incident when the commander was relieved of his post after travelling too fast in unchartered waters when the forward sonar was misbehaving. They hit a 'Hill' on the sea-bed and some of the crew were injured.
