Didn't she become one of the Nigerian National ships, I think somewhere at my sisters house is some of her silver tea set, "rescued" by ny father who was a relieving Master with NNSL.

Allan,
she certainly did. It was the " Herbert Macaulay" of NNSL that she became in 1964.
Sold to the Greeks for further trading in 1976 , she was renamed "Anel d'Azur"

She lasted until being sold to Pakistani 'breakers & arrived Gadani Beach 23/08/1982.

I think that you REALLY should track down the silverware at your sister's, photograph it & post it on SN for us all to see!

Regards,
Rick
