No doubt having heavy lift gear was a factor in her becoming an early container feeder ship.

Not sure that the heavy lift gear had anything to do with making the vessel and early container feeder, especially as most of the containers in the photo are out of reach of the heavy lift gear. I would suggest that the containers being carried were just part of the normal cargo the vessel had loaded.

The picture is not at Singapore, but departing Cape Town. I recall it
was one of slides sent to you some years back.

Looks like the stbd sampson post aft of the accommadation has taken a nudge from a container.
