Was this the last one in commerical service? Only one remains now, of course, the 'Lydia Eva', preserved in Great Yarmouth.

I'm not 100% certain but she was certainly among the last drifters in commercial service. She was named "Coriedalis", built in 1918 and still fishing in the early 1950's. Perhaps someone may be able to add more detail.

Regards,

Ray

built by john duthie's in aberdeen in 1918 as 'HMD DUSK' later renamed 'COSMEA' and finaly 'CORIEDALIS' she was in 1956 the last scottish steam drifter to take part in the yarmouth fishery, was also the last steam drifter in east fife, believe she was scrapped in 1957 and was replaced by the newly built 75' motor drifter 'SILVER CHORD' KY124 which won the prunier trophy in 1957.
