Yes, the ship was built as the SIERRA NEVADA in 1922 for North German Lloyd. 8753 GRT, 439 feet long, 56 feet wide, 13.5 knots. In 1926 she was transferred to their South America service and renamed MADRID. She was sold to Hamburg-South American Line in 1934. Sunk off Den Helder by Allied air attack, 9 December 1941.
