THE WORLD

Remember seeing the World anchored off Batmans Bay, New South Wales about two years ago.
Quite a shock to cross the bridge over the Clyde and see this large passenger ship off shore.

Hard to believe that there are only 106 cabins (suites) for her full time residents!
And she has a crew of 230 to look after them!!

The name caused a lot of laughter on the channel when one of the officers on a P&O ferry, called up "The World" on the VHF. You can imagine the response.

When I was leaving the house to get some shots of her arriving I told my wife "I'm off to see THE WORLD" ...... she thought I was running away from home!!
I believe that her full name is "RESIDENCY THE WORLD" but has since been shortened to just "THE WORLD"
She also bills herself as the largest private yacht in the world ...... some yacht!!
