TITANIC 100 years

TITANIC 100 years

I showed this print a few weeks ago, except this one is darker in an attempt to emphasize the foreboding aspect of her departure. 100 years ago today, she departed Southampton.

Splendid, Finn! Your sketch-line is so fluent and effortless. Excellent perspective too. Wish I could sketch like that in pen....Very appropriate commemoration - infinitely more meaningful than most of the current splurge. I see Churchill is now being blamed for the Titanic disaster....This tells us much more about our own 'blame-game' mindset than it does about the tragedy itself. 'Titanic-ology' (or should it be '-itis'?) is a strange, strange pursuit/illness. I prefer to celebrate the ship as a splendid engineering achievement, and I love to see pics of her sailing. So I like this - yes, yes. Beautiful lines. Many thanks. Donald.

EPIC or not - you're one fine artist, my friend! I only wish I could use the pen as superbly as you do!
Incidently, EPIC has some fine points to her design - they're just not visable until you go aboard. Externally she's a nightmare!

Yep, I know (about her interiors). We did a week cruise with her. Great vacation. But her outside viewing decks were seriously lacking. In fact, this was the first time I actually got mad on a ship! Hoping like crazy that the new NCL ships will be a big improvment. Thanks for your kind comments. Finn
