Ian,

Do you mean the guy with his "Nuts" spread across the nut, are we quite sure this is actually the "Titanic" ??????????????????

wow i think one photo is Olympic and people still BS about GET OVER IT. I will not disagree that this is Titanic. I fully agree that it is. One interesting thing to note about this photo is, to the left of the guy futherest on the right you can see a human figure that was scratched off the original.

I guess Von Daniken would have used this as evidence as the world's first picture of an abduction by aliens. I mean it's so obvious that he's actually being 'beamed out' at that moment! LOL

Perhaps he was moonlighting. Or we could really upset Tmac by suggesting it was the Engineering Manager from Workman Clarke showing H&W how to do the job! There is a bowler hat next to the missing man.
Sorry, only joking.

It\'s OK lads I can tell who is joking and who is simply trying to be offensive. I think it\'s Titanic but of course I could be wrong LOL (I AM only kidding) Regarding the guy in the photograph who has been scratched out I do have the true facts about what happened however I don\'t want to have to spend hours detailing the actual events. Briefly what happened was the guy in question had a furious argument with the foreman and when the glass plate negative was produced for inspection the foreman insisted he was removed from the picture. Such was the authority of foremen in those days nobody dared to question him and so you see the result. I\'ve lots more photographs to post but after the last debacle I\'m not sure if I should bother as it inevitably ends up in people arguing and that\'s not what this site is about.

Oul hand,
Please don't be put off by the last debacle. Personally, I would love to see more photos of ship construction from H & W, irrespective of the name of the vessel. Your postings really capture a bygone age - keep them coming.
Kind regards,
John F.
