The "Toana Papua" is the "Moraybank" operating in a short-lived endeavour to be 'sympathetic' to local Papua New Guinea interests and aspirations. This arrangement happened twice in 1984 to 1986 and again in 1987 before reverting to her original name. The same thing was done with the "Meadowbank" which became "Toana Niugini" in 1985 to deliver a local dimension to the long-standing trade that Bank Line had with the South Pacific, however, she was sold out of the fleet with her original name in 1987.
