Dover - Calais or Dover - Dunkerque. Ferry probably Hampton Ferry, Twickenham Ferry or Shepperton Ferry.

The sign on the left is in English so I amagine this is Dover again, these are great nostalgic photos, and I know my brother (Locking Splice)will enjoy viewing them, hope you can find some more.

Nice shot Daves.
Dick its Dover Train Ferry Dock, if you look slighty up through the port side steel work, you can just make out part of the upper deck ramp supports, over which cars driven into the top dck garage, usually exports.
The chap on the right is wearing the old British Railway uniform and may be part of the mooring gang or may have been driving exports on to the train deck.
Might be wrong but the guys on the left look like George Delemare the Chippy and sitting down it looks like AB Eddie Mchugh, not sure on the Officer. Chatty and Happy Days.
