ohh dear I see the Crisannryl behind her........... only boat i've sailed on that didn't have a bilge pump. i kid you not her bilge pump had seized so the skipper had it cut off and the pipes blanked off. We had to manually pump out the engineroom/fishroom and forepeak bilges every 4 hours or we would have sunk she was that leaky !!!

Try Again came to Padstow in 1986 & was initially used as a crabber & trawler. She was later rigged as a mono netter & was scrapped about seven years ago. I have two later pictures of her in my gallery.

i was aboard the nil desperandum in 1990 she had no bilge pump either and she leaked like a sieve and you could see daylight through the deck plenty of fun pumping her out with a whalegusher
