Turmoil in Fowey Harbour from an old Postcard.

what a lovely old photo, especially with the added interest of the old (watson, I think ) early motor lifeboat in the foreground. Would anyone know what it was, and if it's still in existance?

The old Watson was The Brothers on relief at Fowey built 1922 stationed at Penlee 1922-1931, Falmouth 1931-1934, Relief 1934-1937, Selsey 1937 1938, relief 1938-1948, Workington 1948- 1952. Now called the Admiral Douglas as a sea cadet training boat at Wellington Dock Dover.

This photo must have been taken very soon after the war. She still has the small box on the foc's'le immediately in front of the foremast. No idea what it was used for. It was later removed. Could have just been a deck locker ammunition.

Just look at those lovely varnished boats in the bottom of the picture, I would love one of those, they really are nostalgic.
