***ulus 1950.jpg

One of Swedish Transatlantic's four "cloud-ships", ***ulus, Cirrus, Nimbus and Stratus. All built for the trans-pacific Aus./US trade. Fast for the time, with a max. speed of 22 knots. Here with SWAL (Scandianvian West Africa Line) funnel. That is where many of the company's ships ended their career

What the h... has happened to the search facility in the Gallery. I have tried to put the question - both as a new thread and as a question to moderator Derek, but there is no response. I have just added this photo, but typing ***ulus in any search window - which seems to be for forums only - does not return it. I have re-traced many an old ship by just typing a name in the - then - search filed under Gallery. Then I come back a couple of days ago and see this new site layout. I cannot be the only one wanting to see if there is a photo of M/S XXXXXXX ??

PS. What is the purpose of coding the ship's name - by Ships Nostalgia - with *** ? I wrote the full name C u m u l u s - both under the picture when uploading it - and when writing my above comment. Then the site changes that to ***ulus ?

It's being stupidly over-nannying! It sees the first three letters as a rude word. It replaces them with asterisks. When you spell it out with spaces, it doesn't see it.

Thanks. If that is the reason I am appalled. On a site for "seamen" and the likes! Those letters do not stand alone. They are part of a name. So here screwdriver would be ****driver and Dickson Line would be ****son Line.
You wouldn't also have an answer regarding the now apparently missing possibility to search ship names in the Gallery?
