It does look like the Kelly funnel.
I was looking at a list of their ships from the early sixties and there are none with eight letters to the name.
If you discount the "Bally" prefix, that only leaves three letters to complete the name.
Thanks for that guys .... thing is my grandfather, on my Dad's side, sailed in all manner of coastal boats from Manchester/Liverpool right around to London and Hull, some of which were sail, between 1892 to 1914; he then went on ship in convoys until the end of the war and then back to coasters, ( later becoming a policeman, a fireman and working the coal quay at Penzance for J H Bennetts ).
has any 1 any photographs of a small coaster name Hamilton. Lost between ayr and campbeltown loaded with coal heading for campbeltown only 1 crew saved not sure of date probley around the fifties
