F114 I believe was the Leander Class Frigate HMS Ajax

xmas and new year 1975 cant remember what the type 12 out board was

Dave, if F114 is the penant number, then she has to be HMS AJAX and AJAX is Ikara Leander as she is potrayed in the photo. Anyway thanks for sharing the nice photo. Kind regards. Tipahmh

In my opinion the frigate moored alongside the Ajax seemed to be a converted Rothesay class frigate. The indications are the director on the bridge (which is of the same type as mounted on the Leanders before being modified) while having a similar type of radar scanner as the Ajax on the aft mast which seem to be of a lighter structure, and also the back of the funnel is not slanting as in the case of the Leanders. The funnel is very close to the foremast.
