Does someone know the origin of this old tanker that currently undergoes convention in Singapore? Looks like here name is Capirito Santo, but I cant find any info about here.

Must be "Espirito Santo", which is a state in Brazil.

Several contractors (MODEC, Saipem) have started naming their FPSOs operating in Brazilian waters after Brazilian cities and states, including:

- "FPSO Cidade de Vitoria" ex "Magdelaine",
- "FSO Cidade de Macae" ex "Marine Atlantic" (a 404,000 dwt giant!)
- "FPSO Cidade do Rio de Janeiro" ex "Bright Jewel") (another picture HERE).

I bet the one in this picture is will be named "FPSO Espirito Santo" or "Cidade de Espiroto Santo" and is the former "FSO XV Domy" ex "Knock Ville", built as "Kazuko" at Hitachi in 1975. She is currently being converted into an FPSO at Keppel, more details HERE.

Thanks for this info. It was at Keppel shipyard I took the picture last week and FSO XV-Domy looks like it. (ex “Knock Ville” ex “Kazudo”) On the picture I posted she is in the dry dock where the grey tanker is on your link. http://www.kepcorp.com/press/press.asp?RID=1502&L=&Y=2007&Q=2
