UNKNOWN Nr:30 now called RANCHI 1925

Ahoy,
Another photo, this time the photographer has written P+O? on her reverse side, so probably could be a P&O?

French Line had a COLOMBIE but started off as a twin funnel, when one was removed the new funnel was larger. I think it is the well deck forward of the poop that could clinch it, lets see what happens when the experts log on.

Ahoy,
Yes of course the COLOMBIE,how could I forget;but that one I do also remember with twin funnels, so let's forget this, but as I saw the photo first time, I said to myself, I've seen you before, but how/when/where?
Indeed let's wait and see as the experts are coming in.

The 'Ranchi' was built with 2 funnels then converted for trooping. I go for 'Ranchi'. All the deck cranes do it for me, my late Father went as a 'New Australian', £10 Pom, on board Her.

"Colombie" as converted with one funnel appeared post war with a white hull. This is a red herring. Most definitely this is P.& O's "Ranchi"
