Don't know the port but the majority of warships appear to be French so perhaps a port in the south of France.

Appears to be a British carrier and on the other side of the carrier is an oiler, looks to be a Tide class(early). The aircraft on the British carrier maybe Wyverns but no doubt the R.N.A.S fraternity Will put Me right and Perhaps name the carrier.

Would have to go with Toulon, was there this last summer & whilst some of the scenery has changed it does ring a bell.

This is the Toulon French Navy harbour, around 1958.
D622 is the destroyer named Kersaint, D623 was named Cassard.

The cruiser, in the middle of the picture is the De Grasse

The first aircraft carrier is the Arromanches, ex Britsh Colossus.
The second aircraft carrier is a visiting British aircraft carrier.
The last one can be Le Lafayette or Bois Belleau.
