This is the Winterhude. http://www.kolumbus.fi/jamikko/Purjelaivat_Winterhude.htm The particular bowsprit staying, the double gaff, the cut down masts, etc makes that a certainty. And given the time, there is not much to choose frome.
Built in 1898 by Rickmers Reismühlen, Rhederei und Schiffbau AG, Bremen. Dimensions: 81,44×12,20×7,54 meters and tonnage: 2065 GRT, 1985 NRT, and 3060 DWT.
1898: Launched at the shipyard of Rickmers Reismühlen, Rhederei und Schiffbau AG, Bremen, for their own account.
1912 April 1: Sold to Schlüter & Maack, Hamburg for DEM 150.000 and renamed Winterhude. At the same time re-rigged as a barque.
1914 August: Laid up at Taltal, Chile, at the outbreak of World War I.
1920: Returned to Ostend from Taltal after a 144 days long journey with a full cargo of nitrate.
1921: Handed over to Great Britain as war-compensation.
1922: Sold to Baltische und Weissmeer Handels- und Schiffahrts GmbH, Danzig.
1925: Sold to Wilhelm Helmsoth A.G., Hamburg, and renamed Selma Helmsoth and was laid up.
1925 Autumn: Sold to Gustav Erikson, Mariehamn, Åland, for £ 1950, and re-named Winterhude.
1939: Laid up in Mariehamn, Åland.
1939: Grain store in Stavanger, Norway.
1944: Sold to the German Navy.
1945: Accommodation ship in Kiel.
1949: Broken up by Ritscher, Hamburg-Moorburg.

Stein, Class work from you as always - thank you (Applause). Obviously we are all a bit disappointed that your text is quite so brief and the details kept to the bare minimum, but I guess you were working purely from memory and such brevity can be overlooked...(Jester) The title has been edited to reflect you kind and very worthwhile guidance.

Without being unkind, I think Deep Six may have done what is all too easy to do, and hit reply without having a scroll down; for Stein's assessment is like a pair of green trainers, and leaves little to the imagination...
