An Akagisan Maru class motorship of Mitsui Senpaku Kaisha for sure! I can't tell which one though; the length of the lettering makes me think she is Akashisan Maru......

Akagisan Maru, Akashisan Maru, Awajisan Maru, Awobasan Maru or Akibasan Maru?

Great picture, thank you Quintero. Do you have any colour pictures of the Mitsui Line ships please?

Layout and other details in Talbot Booth loos like Caravellarella has identified it correctly. Built by Mitsui in 1951, 499 feet long, 6,600 tons with 8,600 cubic feet of refrigerated space. 17 knots.

Hi Terry!
Thanks for your comments. Sorry, I do not have any other pictures of Mitsu Line ships. It was just a snapshot.

Thank you quintero and bowatersteamship. I've found a picture in my collection of Akashisan Maru in Mitsui Senpaku Kaisha livery. I'll post it into the gallery as soon as I can so we can compare the images......

I believe these ships had an apple green hull with white titles and a grey funnel with a white emblem or device; like this......
