VICTORIA, Lloyd Triestino 1932

This is a photo from a pre-completion dated issue of the "British Motor Ship" 1931 projecting what the VICTORIA would look like. The caption states this is an "artist's rendition" but it sure looks real in the original. Although this magnificent ship would look good in any livery I like the more sinister looking black.

An interesting study of the ship, based upon Lloyd Triestino's traditional livery; LT changed their livery to white hulls and buff funnels with the building of VICTORIA. For those who are unfamiliar with this fabulous, but little-known liner, here is a view of how she actually turned out:
