There was a boat just like this "Harbour Maid" fishing out of Barra when i was a kid!
There is a few left up oon the west coast a good sea boat for the creels!!

Would say that ane wis built by Mackays Stromness,Orkney Isles

There wis two boats like is one used to fish along the north coast a bit, one was the Lady Margaret if I mind right, canna mind the ither ane did Billy Rendal no hev one o them?

that boatie is for sale inoo in Finda Fishing Boat,canae mind the price, still looks bonny enough and she hisna changed at a' since this photo wis tak'in'.

One was the Bon-Ami Billy,Jimmy Gardener,fine enough boat but i think they were to big to be open welled.

was the other boaty that geid around wi the Lady Margaret the Hildona Wull?

Hildona was the first Halmatic 36 (GRP hull built by Halmatic at factory in Kirkwall) originally owned by the late Billy Rendall from Stronsay.

Still fishing from Stromness owned by Billy Seatter.

The Lady Margaret was built by Duncan's yard in Burray for Davy Scott originally from Eday now retired in Burray after years as skipper on the Orkney Towage tugs.

The Bon Ami was similar but built at the same yard as Yarmouth "Viking" Mackay's in Stromness (Arthur Sinclair proprietor at that time) she was built for Johno and Jimmy Flett of Papa Westray

The owner of Viking also had another clinker boat of a similiar size called "Glenda Margaret" which had a canoe stern. I don't know where she was built.
