The Union Steam Ship Company's WANAKA berthed at the Wellington Sea Cargo Terminal at Taranaki St, Wharf during the early 1970s.
Built in Hong Kong for the coastal trade in 1970.
Note the reclamation work in progress - this area is now Frank Kits Park, a popular place for the public to enjoy the waterfront.
