Lovely shot, any idea if it is the Cesarea or Sarnia. I can just about remember seeing ferries that far up the harbour.

Names are the other way around. Sarnia = Guernsey and Caesarea = Jersey. Being an old Sarnian, I think thats correct.

I think it might be Caesarea actually, length of name looks right. Note the boat train on the wall. Might she have had a few more lines out if she was laid up?

That berth was only ever used for laying up as Clockman said. The ferry terminal was a fair way further down the harbour.
