Is she still in her original condition or have they mucked her up the same way as her sister, the "Tatty Castle" ?

Hello bobharrison2002 Thanks for your query. Am pleased to tell you that Wingfield Castle has been almost completely restored to her original condition and currently serves as one of the Museum of Hartlepool exhibits. You can access her decks, bridge boiler room, engine room and original 1st Class saloon, which is now a cafe. Well worth a visit. Derek

Crossed the Humber a few times on Wingfield Castle - wondered what she was doing in Hartlepool but now realise she was built at Grays.

Is that Wheel a permanent fixture at Hartlepool? They seem to be cropping up everywhere. I bet you can see Eston Nab from it. We have one in Brisbane too - I haven't been on it yet but I suspect the view from the top is about the same as the view from the bottom.

The wheel looks temporary to me as does the fun fair, there must have been a Bank Holiday event going on!
