Am pleased to tell you that Wingfield Castle has been almost completely restored to her original condition and currently serves as one of the Museum of Hartlepool exhibits. You can access her decks, bridge boiler room, engine room and original 1st Class saloon, which is now a cafe. Well worth a visit. Derek

Is that Wheel a permanent fixture at Hartlepool? They seem to be cropping up everywhere. I bet you can see Eston Nab from it. We have one in Brisbane too - I haven't been on it yet but I suspect the view from the top is about the same as the view from the bottom.
