Thanks for all the info, this is indeed the vessel. We used to carry a heavy bitumen cargo, it left a lot of sludge in the tanks, and was a nightmare to clean.

Many thanks, thats the one. This was probably the roughest vessel I sailed on, but short trips and docking in home port made up for the coal dust, basic accommodation and poor food!...

C-MAR have crewed the Uncle John since CDI bought her. I supply a few Canadians from C-MAR Canada, some have now been on UJ for more than 5 years. Present Master is from Newfoundland.

1966 - 68 Deck Cadet - Furness Withy ( packed it in after 2 years)
1968 - 73 OS, AB - coasting, deepsea ( Everards, Buries Markes, etc)
1973 - 79...
