sight,but this was my last ship back in 1958

Hi Granty.
Nice to here from you,its seems that I sailed
with your Brother on the AJANA,but I cannot
remember anything or anybody from that time
I was Assistant Steward from 9/5/58 until 2/10/58....

Anybody out there have any news etc about the
AUSTRALIND STEAM SHIPPING CO ships the AJANA
that was wrecked I think off the South American coast.
I think that she may have had a name change...

Alcantara and EMPIRE ORWELL

I did just the one trip on the ALCANTARA,but
I did nine trips on the EMPIRE ORWELL,happiest
ship I sailed on.Started off as Crew Mess Steward
then Leading Hand Steward then Officers Mess Steward...
