I joined my first Denholms ship, the motor tanker, Beaufort Sea in Curacao in 1970. She was a sister ship to the Greenland Sea that was also in Curacao at the same time.

Enjoy your retirement when you get round to it. I left the Scotspark on the 13th March 72 from Augusta, Sicily. I left with Frank Semple, Chief Engineer.

Roverís name was Cedric T Goodings, he was ex Blue Funnel. I sailed with him on the Scotspark in 1971 when he was 4th Engineer and I was Junior. Great guy.

Had the pleasure of sailing with Ronnie twice on the Eurofreighter and then shared an office in Clydebank with him when we were with Sweca part of Northern Marine. A true gentleman.
