Copra run et al...

Thanks for the nice comments above - much appreciated.

I am putting a poetry book together, and meanwhile if we are promoting Bank Line books, I have 2 available on Amazon as inexpensive ebooks and in print. They are: " Merchant Navy Apprentice 1951-1955". This covers a number of voyages in the ' old' days when the fleet consisted of pre war built vessels, Liberty Ships, Empire ships, and of course, the so called ' White ships'.

The other book is a memoir covering the period from WW2 in the London Blitz, through to post war trips in the Bank Line and onwards through a career in shipping with time in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, among other places. This one is called, " Any Budding Sailors?", which was the semi sarcastic question that was asked by the teacher prior to me passing the exam for Sea School entry. Little did I know what it would lead to, but it was a sort of Jackpot win looking back on the years in the Bank Line!
