So many names - and great ships - all during our 'golden days'. From 1959 I was Apprentice on 'Oremina', 'Swan River', Royston Grange' and 'Oregis. Then 3/O on 'Cerinthus' and 'Ocean Transport'. In 1963 I switched to Saguenay Shipping where I was on the 'Sunrip' and on the 'Sunflower' and left her as 1st Mate to emigrate to Australia in 1966, taking up a second career in Air Traffic Control. Returned to UK in 1992 and now comfortably retired in Wiltshire. Still keeping in touch with my 'Old Worcester' shipmates. Seafaring was definitely the 'best time of my life'. David Rawstron.
