'Aberdonian' and 'Dod Caukie' I greatly appreciate you posting the news,
to me, of Stewart Thomson and his sad demise. RIP even if it was years ago. He was my senior Cadet on the COTTRELL. We sailed from Greys Wharf in 1956. He was then known as POKEY'. but not for that reason, he had a habit of poking a finger at you when arguing. We transferred homeward bound to the DEIDO in Takoradi as she was going on the Cape run. He paid off sick in Cape Town and I saw him off as DBS as first class passenger on the EDINBURGH CASTLE. He was a great cabin and ship mate and we vgot on very well togeter.
