We took two old friends up to the Trossachs hoping to do a trip on the Sir Walter Scott.
Lady luck was on our side.
Too late to get on the 1430 sightseeing run we were advised to try again at 1600, but there had to be at least 10 passengers.
We were 9, but they took us
I wanted to see the 'new' saloon which has caused so much adverse comment on here.
Internally it's superb, (photos in the gallery).
Those less able now have a warm berth and a decent toilet.
We lived near Loch Katrine but were still blown away by the scenery as were our guests.
I think we did our bit to promote more tourism.
