Epson

How do I contact someone in authority in Epson ?
All I have been able to talk to is some guy in Barcelona who doesn't
seem to know much.
My XP-55 is dead and I want it replaced.

If it is under guarantee and you purchased it from a retailer, rather than direct from the Manufacturer, then your contract is with the retailer.
Return it to where you you bought it. The retailer is obliged to ensure that goods are fit for purpose and deal with faulty goods.
If you bought it on-line contact them first as they may pay return postage and they may also reject unsolicited returns.

ML. Thanks. But how do I contact Amazon. Nothing but computers there. I don't think here are any human beings that I can talk to.

I used the online template a few years ago.
I was contacted by email within a day.
The problem was fixed within a few days.

Epson prtinter

Epson admitted it was a hardware fault and sent me a new printer.
I have printed about 10 pc sized photos.
Now 2 of the carts say they are empty so I can only print in B & W.
How much ink is there in each cartridge supplied with a new printer ?
I have a feeling that I am being ripped off.
And they say that if I use Compatible inks (which I am tempted to do) the warranty will be voided.

As I wrote, in another thread, my printer`s carts cost half the price of the printer. The printer has been packed away in a corner for years and I go to a copyshop. B/w copies cost 7 cents. Can't even remember the make of it.

George,

Don't go with cartridges. The best system, and IMHO most economic, is an Epson with external reservoirs, such as my L120 and L380. I have printed around 8,000 pages on the L380 and have recharged the colours twice and black about four times. A lot of the prints are full page, hi res photos as the printer is almost one to one with the pixel count from my Nikon D3300 (6000x4000 28MP Vs. 5700x3400 or thereabouts).

Rgds.
Dave
