BT Broadband, phone & TV

just had a cold call from BT trying to get us back. They offer Broadband and phone for 23.99 a month, and TV for an extra 6(through aerial), also offered to pay off the "leaving fine" from Sky if we wish to change. Is this a good deal, or one of those when the price eventually starts to soar?

Did they mention line rental? Currently 18.99 per month.

The offer when you add in line rental is still competitive, but it really depends on what you want from your TV.

I was with BT for a long time, and they are, in my opinion one of the worst companies to ever get involved with. They made it as difficult for me as possible to terminate my contract, even though it was three weeks from ending. I eventually went with SSE and I got 2 years free broadband, and 12 a month line rental (this has since reduced to 10 a month) I would never go back to BT under any circumstance, and would advise anyone to leave them when their contract is due for renewal. There's still plenty of good deals around, you just have to look.

I returned to BT a couple of years ago, an am 100% satisfied with it.
I have a "BT Infinity" package, pretty basic really, which is what I want.
45 gig per month broadband, very high speed, more than I need really. 7pm -7am local phone calls All hours at weekends & 0845, 0870 numbers.
Email of course is included.
I didn't bother with any TV packages, and my TV is in fact Freeview.
I won't go into costs, they might be a little higher, but the service I get (I find) is very good, and I've never had to make a complaint.

Thanks for replies. No, they didn't mention the line rental. We don't want much from the TV, and watch mainly the freeview channels. Have been considering getting a freeview box (satellite) and wonder which is the best. Would like one that can store things like the Sky Box and stop and re-wind live programmes. Believe that our existing Sky dish will work with freeview, but there are so many about, difficult to choose.
Don't know how much it would cost to leave Sky early, but one of the things that caught my interest from BT was when they said they would pay the Sky leaving fee!
