AVCHD (MTS) files to Windows XP

Can anyone please advise how you download AVCHD (MTS) files from a Sony - Cybershot camera to a computer running on
Windows XP?

I have bought a new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V, whereas with my old camera I used to plug it into the computer and be able to download everything. I have been unable to download the movie files
from the new camera.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

Greetings,

Rutts, the camera is quite unfamiliar to me however have a look HERE and you may get some ideas.

I did note that the camera appears to use an SD memory card, you can get USB memory card readers quite cheaply, 5 ish on ebay, which should allow you a simple file transfer method.

Try this. Make a folder on your DESK TOP, Name it DCIM then upload the photos from your camera to that folder.
Like Pat said, get a card reader as it makes it so easier and faster to transfer photos or video.
