Sailed on the Kinnaird Head December 1st1956 and left when she drydocked on April 29th 1957. Was R/O. Cabin had originally been for two so very large in comparison with other officers cabins. Captain was James Graham.

Private mssage re Kinnaird Head Captain but unable to download.
Captain James Graham was there. His brother in law Captain James Grant was master of the Marwick Head. I also sailed with him on the Marwick Head.
Believe that Captain Graham died whilst playing golf.Captain Grahams death was reported in the Shields Gazette. Think he was living with his son outside the Tyne area he was over eighty at the time.
Trust this helps and sorry I cant seem able to unload your message
Regards Bert.

My father Leslie Frater was aboard this ship between 1954-63, Does anyone remember him? He died 1964 aged 39 and I'm attempting to trace his journeys.

My Dad was master, Jim Graham, I voyaged in my school holidays, what was your fathers occupation?

Anything that might jog my memory? I must have known him
cheers
Don

My dad William (Bill) Pascoe was mate and master on the Kinnaird Head. I remember being around five which puts it at 1958. I was on board a lot before and after this and have happy memories. I remember Dad talking about Captain Grant. He left Henry MacGregor for Cory Maritime when I was about eight or so - early sixties. The photos shown earlier in the thread bring back memories. I have some photos my dad took of me, my mum, a few crew members, aboard. There was one chap who built violins. Second mate maybe. I sailed with my parents to Belgium on her - remember enjoying piles of mussels in Antwerp and seeing tulip fields in Holland along a ship canal.
